Artist's Description
San Francisco's Golden Gate Park
Water lilies are a well studied clade of plants because their large flowers with multiple unspecialized parts were initially considered to represent the floral pattern of the earliest flowering plants, and later genetic studies confirmed their evolutionary position as basal angiosperms. Water lilies are rooted in soil in bodies of water, with leaves and flowers floating on or emergent from the surface.
About Joseph Hollingsworth
Photography is my passion. The ability to capture a moment in time and record it for time immemorial has always fasinated me. To be able to share those moments with others is the next most rewarding thing. I want my images to evoke emotion, similar to what one feels when listening to good music. I continue the development of my skills and knowledge, in hopes of being the photographer I was intended to be. My hope is that what I see through my lens will bring you joy and pleasure.
