A drive along the "Coast Highway" (PCH, Route 1), in California, exposes one to some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. As you drive long the coast it becomes a beach beauty contest. Pismo is one of my favorites.
The name Pismo comes from the Chumash language word for tar, Pismu' , which was gathered from tar springs in Price Canyon near Pismo Beach. The tar was a valuable product which the Chumash Indians used to caulk their seagoing canoes, called tomol, which traveled along the coast and out to the Channel Islands.
Photography is my passion. The ability to capture a moment in time and record it for time immemorial has always fasinated me. To be able to share those moments with others is the next most rewarding thing. I want my images to evoke emotion, similar to what one feels when listening to good music. I continue the development of my skills and knowledge, in hopes of being the photographer I was intended to be. My hope is that what I see through my lens will bring you joy and pleasure.
