Artist's Description

I was struck by the large distressed sliding barn doors that opened to the garden Ying Yang.
The Huntington Botanical Gardens, located in San Marino California, is a collections-based educational and research institution established by Henry E. Huntington (18501927) and located in Los Angeles County. The property includes approximately 120 acres of specialized botanical landscaped gardens, most notably the "Japanese Garden", the "Desert Garden", and the "Chinese Garden".
A Chinese garden, the largest outside of China,[15] was dedicated on February 26, 2008 after artisans from Suzhou, China spent some 6 months at Huntington to construct the first phase of the newest facility. On 12 acres at the northwest corner of the Huntington, the garden features man-made lakes ("Pond of Reflected Greenery" and "Lake of Reflected Fragrance") with pavilions connected by bridges. Unique Chinese names are assigned to many of the facilities in the garden, such as the tea house,

About Joseph Hollingsworth

Joseph Hollingsworth

Photography is my passion. The ability to capture a moment in time and record it for time immemorial has always fasinated me. To be able to share those moments with others is the next most rewarding thing. I want my images to evoke emotion, similar to what one feels when listening to good music. I continue the development of my skills and knowledge, in hopes of being the photographer I was intended to be. My hope is that what I see through my lens will bring you joy and pleasure.
