This is the final link of the Gerald Desmond Bridge, which is a through arch bridge that carries four lanes of traffic from San Pedro to Ocean Boulevard in downtown Long Beach, California and also connects to the more popular Vincent Thomas Bridge. The bridge is scheduled for replacement and work has begun.
