Description
Designed in 1938 during President Roosevelt's Work Progress Administration, this beautiful Chapel enjoys the prominence of being the spiritual gateway of the Los Angeles National Cemetery. VPC (Veterans Park Conservancy) led the effort to dedicate the Chapel in honor of Bob Hope - the legendary entertainer who devoted his life to spending every Christmas with our "troops" in every theater of war. More than any other individual, Bob Hope made our servicemen and women feel like the most important people in the world. The Chapel was formally dedicated to Mr. Hope on his 99th Birthday - May 29th, 2002. Over two hundred dignitaries, entertainers, friends and family joined together to pay tribute to America's "Honorary Veteran." Friends shared stories about Bob's military career, his courage, and his endless antics.
